Moving, but Close

Hey hey.

I’m moving my blog to another neighbourhood, but it’s not that far. It’s still at maique.eu, I’m still @maique@social.lol. I’m following a ton of you from over there, and via RSS. Some might still be missing, I’m afraid. Yell, please!

I want to thank you all for the amazing community, the support, the camaraderie, the good vibes. I moved here years ago, and went through a lot of very important stuff while here. Covid first, tinyMovieStar, travels, wedding. I got the chance to meet some of you in real life, which was amazing! It was better with you around.

I’m still close by. See you.

🥰 Favorite day of the week so far. tinyMovieStar is coughing a bit (she’s fine!), so we get to spend a whole day together. Went shopping, and I’m now cooking us her favorite meal, and she had strawberries already. We’re both quite happy.

Three smartphone screens display a social media app with a dark theme.

It had to be done. After a few themes based on the cool Catppuccin color scheme, here it is, the one inspired by Mocha.

Added to Mona.

🖼 Work, as usual, is me archiving stuff. Flickr got a couple hundred more photos. I do miss shooting, might go out tomorrow, if the rain isn’t too heavy.

😎 Perk of using Kagi: my search results will not include links to X. Ever again.

⛈️ It’s been a while since we’ve had such an impressive thunderstorm in the city.

👀 I need to get out more.

A beige historic building with large windows and intricate architectural details. A lush green tree partially obscures the facade. The sky is overcast, adding a moody atmosphere.

An old, boarded-up building with graffiti on the wall, situated on a cobblestone street corner. The windows and doors are sealed, and there are decorative tiles on the neighboring building.

The image shows the upper corner of an ornate building with arched windows, slate roof tiles, and decorative chimneys against a cloudy sky.

🤬 Watching this reportage, and amazed with how fast people screw up incredible places. The elevator construction on Penida’s Kelingking beach should be forbidden! How the fuck are people allowed to do this?? Sad, depressing.

An elevator on a beach.

🖼 Still taking care of the Flickr thing. Just finished the Azores. Moving to Chaves, and then, hopefully, I’ll manage Menorca. A couple are public.
